In 2021, we added a missing link to our business model by commissioning the most technologically advanced pig slaughterhouse in Bulgaria. It is located in Targovishte and is an important link in maintaining the high quality of animals between livestock farming and meat processing.
The main meat processing production center is located in the town of Lovech—a complex consisting of an industrial cutting plant, a sausage production plant, and a plant for the production of packaged meat, minced meat, semi-finished products, and roasted products. Due to their close proximity to each other, the three meat processing plants in Lovech form an extremely efficient production complex.
In functional terms, the production blocks are divided into a reception area, a processing area, and a dispatch area with their own technologically separate rooms and refrigerated areas. In view of the latest requirements for the production of safe and high-quality food, a controlled sanitary and hygiene block has been set up for the staff.
Our raw-dried products plant in Karlovo is also part of the meat processing business. It is unique in that it has a microenvironment in the production rooms, which gives the products, including Karlovska Lukanka, a unique taste.
